Social Network Profiles in OS X Lion Address Book

So I was looking at the features:

Social network profiles

Address Book lets you quickly access the social network profiles for your contacts, including Facebook. Press and hold an email address to select the appropriate profile.

I can't seem to see what this actually does? I tried adding the Facebook link to a contact in my list but it does nothing. Can we import profile photos and contacts from Facebook with this feature? Anyone understand this in more detail?

Same problem, I can't seem to find a feature which allows me to sync my Facebook contacts.

found it. Open Address Book preferences, to to templates, add a field and choose which service you want (twitter, linkedin, facebook, flicker and myspace are there currently). Unfortunately, any contacts that are already in your contact list don't get updated, so for the moment syncing is still a mystery.
