I want to eventually move away from a local Firewire 800 drive and start using a NAS of some kind. My first test tonight didn't go so well.
Current Setup:
-Mac Mini (2009 - 2.0)
-Windows 7 Beta "server"
-Gigabit from PC to Mac Mini
-Plex
When I view the files through Plex, the ones on the network look a bit soft. The specs across the board suggest I should have more than enough bandwidth, however when I steam it looks like not everything is getting there on time.
Any ideas?
