I just set up a software base station, and I was wondering about something.

As I understand it, you can't run the base station unless the Mac that is plugged in to the internet is awake and running.

Does anyone know if there is a way to set it up so that using my powerbook will automatically wake up the base station computer?

i too use the sw base station. why not just prevent the computer from sleeping?

well, that's what I'm doing now, but I have to pay the power bill, so I'd like it to sleep sometimes.

Maybe I can figure out how to schedule sleep and wake times, that way it will be asleep while I'm out.
