Software for converting lots of pics to a lower resolution

Hi guys

I'm looking for a cheap (preferably free) piece of software that can be pointed to a directory with lots of pics in and have it convert all of them to a specified resolution and compression rate.

Any ideas?

Try Graphic Converter. I don't use this feature, but I think this is something you could do as a batch task within Graphic Converter.

Oh, as I recall you can't do batch conversions with the demo, but, as most will probably attest, this app is worth the price.

Depending on how complex the conversion is, try CocoViewX (http://www.stalkingwolf.net/software/cocoviewx/ ) -- It's free, and it can batch-export files to new resolutions.
