Hey guys, I am in a awkward position here, I have course work to finish by Friday and it requires me to edit some stuff in a .pub file yet Mac's do not support Publisher, nor has there been a released program. Is there any software which would let me open .pub and edit and re-save as a .pub without having to convert it to Mac:Word?
Thanks, all.

You have it backwards. Microsoft Publisher is proprietary Microsoft software. .pub is a proprietary Microsoft file format. OS X supports any software that is developed for the OS. Microsoft has chosen to develop some applications for OS X. It has chosen to open some of its file formats to third-party applications. However, it has chosen not to develop Publisher for OS X and not to release .pub to third parties.

Quite frankly, I am alarmed by the encroachment of .pub on the work environment. I am in a position to say WTF and force my firm's staff to distribute these documents in formats that support OS X. If you are not so positioned, then you have no choice but to borrow a Windows computer with an installation of Office that includes Publisher.

The OP says that he is required to edit the .pub files. There are several online services that will convert .pub files to PDF. PDFs can be edited. However, he will have to determine if it is acceptable to return his assignment as a PDF file.
