Hi All!. hopefully I'm going to get to answer to my question… .
I just bought a TRAVELER DV-5000 FROM ALDI.
the box said that it was for PC & Mac but come to find out that the software is for windows only.
I call for support and the answer was that I can use it for still pic, but not for what i wanted to use it for … VIDEO & WEBCAM
The tech recommended to go to Mac forum to see if anyone knows what software I can download so that I can use the Camera
the way it was it's supposed to.
thanks

this is what I use...

hi,
I got one of these cameras today (thanks santa) and found that this quicktime component worked for me.

perian

It's a free download and it also lets you use the video in iMovie too. Once you have installed it just use your camera as you would a usb memory stick, drag and drop onto your computer etc...

hope that helps
Merry Christmas
Daz

thanks for you quik response

I actually returned the camera, but now that you say it works i can go and get it again.
How do you like yours?:confused::confused:

Hey, i got one of these cams too, and i downloaded perian. How do you get the movies into Imovie?

traveller cam to imovie

After I installed http://www.perian.org/#download I could play movies in Quicktime.
Used quicktime 7 pro to save file as quicktime movie .mov using export option.
Then in Imovie09, file_import_movie and .mov converted clips show for import.
no issues with sound and video, import fine and are editable.
Cant wait to use the stabilisation in imovie09,

Not sure if you need quicktime pro but I was nearly buying everthing to try and get the clips into imovie. thank you forum members for helping me

Hmm.. quicktime pro isn´t free right? If there are members in here who has a site were you can download it for free pllzz send it. Thaanx
