Hi, I just wanted to share my experiences so far with ML and a couple of software problems...
Parallels: I did NOT do the update to version 7 before my ML upgrade, and Parallels 7.0 would not run after I installed Mountain Lion goodness. To fix, I had to download the whole Parallels 7 package and reinstall. Everything is fine now. SO UPDATE PARALLELS BEFORE INSTALLING ML!
SPSS: If you use this stats software (version 20), you may run into trouble. My license was invalidated after ML install: I had to install java when I first opened SPSS, SPSS would not perform any functions, and gave a license error; the license authorization wizard failed to run at all (opened then quickly crashed). The fix that worked was to just reinstall SPSS and reauthorize my license (after a reboot). I scoured the web for answers but there were none, so I hope this helps someone somewhere....
QGIS: a free, open source GIS solution with lots of support, QGIS has plugins which crashed when I opened it, but QGIS still works; i may have to reinstall some python frameworks to get the plugins to work....
Everything else seems to work fine...hope this helps someone
