Software i need for my new mac. Need suggestions

My mac is coming next week and i need a few recommendations for applications i use on windows currently.

1) Video player
2) Torrent client
3) DVD burner
4) I currently use ember media manager, it gets covers, fan art and info for my ripped movies. I then put the movie with it's info on to my external hd to watch on my media pc.

Your suggestions on the best for each of these would be great.

I'll second the OP's question w/r/t a decent OS X alternative for Ember media manager.

It's kind of nuts that I still need to run XP on a virtual machine to keep my movie and tv collection organized.
