Software in between iPhoto and Aperture?

I'm looking for something more powerful than iPhoto but not as expensive as Aperture. I'm looking primarily for better file organization, as well as the ability to compress and resize photos directly from the application. I have Photoshop, but I'm looking more for a photo organizer than an editor.

I hear bridge is pretty good in cs3.
