Software not installing after running Software Update

Hi,

I have a new MacBook Pro 2.2 i7. After I run software update the software will not install after I restart my computer. It does show as downloaded and sits in the Updates folder of my HD Library. I have deleted com.apple.softwareupdate from my cache and I have repaired disk permissions, all to no avail.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
