Software not opening and not in applications anymore.

Hi,

I was recently clearing my desktop on Mac OSX 10.5.5 and now I can't open Logic Studio 8 =[

It was in my dock and also stored on the desktop so i moved the icon on the desktop to the trash. Now when i try to open the program from the dock a Question Mark appears on it and it wont open.

I have checked in the applications and cant find it but i dont think it has been deleted as it took up 55GB of my hard drive which has not been ''free'd-up''

Please help as I REALLY need this program and itcost a lot of money to buy.

Just reinstall the application from the original disk or source. Or check the trash and see if the app is still there. If so, drag it out!

The icons on the dock are not applications, but rather, are like shortcuts to the actual apps. So if you lose the original app, the dock icon can't do anything.

You can have an application stored on the desktop, and if delete that icon you're also deleting the program. If you don't empty the trash, then the application space is not freed up.
