All,
I'm having a major problem setting up a Software RAID using Disk Utility on my Mac. I'm running OS X 10.4.11 on a Mac Mini built on a 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.
I want to set up a Mirror RAID using two identical external drives and the effort has been a non-starter. I go to Disk Utility and open up the RAID dialog, set the RAID parameters, and then drag the disks over from the left into the window pane as instructed and nothing happens. Bubkus. Zilch. Nada. I would expect the disks to appear in the RAID screen but nothing happens and the "Create" button never activates.
I've tried USB and FireWire drives. I've tried all the possible file system types. I've tooled with the parameters. But nothing.
Any help is most appreciated.
