I just read on Thinksecret ( http://www.rumortracker.com/framesets/thinksecret/index.html ) that the new powerbooks shipped with a restore DVD instead of multiple restore CD's. Of course many people make backups of the restore cd's so you'd need a DVD burner for that in case something were to happen to your copy. I'm guessing DVD will become the standard by next year and all new makes will ship with at least a DVD drive as the least expensive option instead of just a CD drive, in which case Apple could fully implement the Restore DVD's with all hardware.
