I have a Mac Mini connected to my LCD TV and have just started a free Netflix trial account in Canada.
Netflix is decent enough for the money, but the deal breaker is having to use a keyboard and mouse to navigate through the user interface, particularly since the Mac Mini is located across the room. Obviously the apple remote will not control a movie streamed from a web browser.
I've been searching for a piece of non-browser software that has a Netflix plugin. I've tried Boxee and Plex and neither of them will work with Netflix Canada. I've even tried spoofing my IP to making look like I'm in the US. Seems like Canadian users are forced to buy a hardware solution in order to be able to remote the Netflix UI?
Any Canadian Netflix users out there that have found a solution?
