Looking for an effective method of organizing and accessing all of my home movie video clips. I've got more than 70,000 video clips taking up over 5TB of storage space on an external hard drive.
I used to use a wonderful app called iView Media Pro to organize my video clips, but it has long since been discontinued. I tried an app called Usher by Many Tricks which worked pretty well, but it too is no longer being developed. I've trying using Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Bridge, and a handful of other apps to attempt to organize and catalog my home movie clips. Nothing has really made any lasting impact on the structure and organization of my video clips to be honest.
I typically just wind up using a folder hierarchy in the Finder to organize my clips, along with 'Quick Look' to view the clips as needed. There must be a better approach.
Anyone have any suggestions?
