What software would you recommend to make labels for dvd's and cd's? I am running mac os 10.2.6. Thanks! (a link would be great.:)

I personally set myself up a set of templates in Photoshop and Illustrator...

As for printing labels out, you can get the kits from your local PC World type place... although the paper quality can sometimes be alittle iffy.

Don't know of any online software though, as I said above PS and Illustrator all the way for me!!

Neato

Neato has all kinds of Free Photoshop and Illustrator templets for CDs and DVDs. Most of the companies that sell lables will give the free templets or softare to make the stuff when you buy their little starter kit. I know you can download the stuff from Neato for fee off there website.

Do I have to buy photoshop? All I really want is a little program that I can use theire software to make a DVD label. I would like to make the label for the disc itself, and the case.

Some CD label kits come with their own software package, but these are quite limited in the design that can be produced...

My bro has a kit that has templates for MS Word... and he's happy with that.

You could always try and source a copy of Photoshop Elements from the front of a magazine CD....

Toast

When you have Roxio's Toast you get a little program for free with it, that does just that: Magic Mouse Discus. It's in the Roxio Data folder inside the Roxio Toast folder.

It has a very non-Mac user interface (with all kinds of ridiculous sounds) but it's very handy for creating a quick label for CD/DVD's and the inlays for the cases of them.

And it support a serious number of different label formats so you don't have to start from scratch when you decide to try another brand of label-sheets.

Okay, I need a template to make the Covers that go on the outside of the black dvd cases. (the cases that most dvd's come in.) I do not want to use CD cases for these dvd's. Anyone?

Go to eBay and search for 'pressit'. It's a CD label making kit for OS X. It's hard to find, so another one is the Memorex CD label kit, it also has Mac software.

That I do not know. Can't say that I've seen a program that has a template for the retail dvd cases.
