So you design a site for a client, then you try to upsell them on content marketing; but that's hard to do without insulting them. Everyone thinks they're an expert, and it's hard to prove value since the results are normally long term. And if they say no the first time, it's time consuming to keep following up.
But if you don't follow up, you're missing out on extra profit. And your client is missing out on your high quality branding and marketing expertise.
That's why I'm developing an automated web based software that helps web designers/agencies communicate the value/ROI of content marketing to clients.
I'm going to start with 1 or 2 simple crucial features, then grow from there.
What features would you like to see first?
Examples:
1) You type in the client's niche, then every month they get an email with recommended article titles, and a purchase link from you.
2) You enter keywords and the price of the clients products/services, then you get a traffic estimate and a quantified possible ROI to show the client.
P.S. This project is not hypothetical. I will spend my own money and time to have this completed in the next few months. I hope to get some great feedback from the MacRumors community. Thanks!
