Software to automatically dim screen and keyboard backlights

Hi all,

I'm using a MacBook Pro connected to my tv for my Boxee/Home theater setup. I'm looking for a piece of software to automatically dim the keyboard and screen backlights on my laptop when the external display is connected (and turn them back on when it is disconnected of course). Can anyone here think of such a solution? I have looked into other solutions (MarcoPolo etc.) and none can seem to get the job done.
