Software to convert .flv files to .mpg

I'm a teacher and my school only has PCs. The only video files that will reliably work on the school computers are .mpg

I'm desperate to find software that will let me easily convert .flv files to .mpg. I'm willing to pay, but the cheaper the program the better.

Please help!
