am searching for help with my hd, thanks very much in advance!
this is my problem,
My hd (1TB samsung) started to feel slow so I used disk utility and it says it is fine, but in windows via bootcamp with the s.m.a.r.t. utility from speedfan I get a fatal hardware error, so I want to check if maybe disk utility isnt seeing the errror, any software to diagnose or check what is going on with my hd is very much appreciated, or any ideas of what might be wrong.
Thanks again :)

I also use and like Drive Genius, but it requires you to un-mount your HDD prior to working with it. So if this is your only internal HDD, you will need another Mac so you can run in Target Disk Mode.

I'm away from home right now so can't check my DG disk, but doesn't it come on a bootable CD so that you can startup from the CD? I thought it did, but may be thinking of TechTool Pro which I know comes on a bootable.
