Software to import videos from a camcorder?

Any camera that outputs DV or HDV over Firewire will work natively with iMovie, which is included with every Mac. Do you have some sort of other camcorder? Some details would be helpful.

As for the answer, iMovie?

If not iMovie, Final Cut Express, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, etc.
