Hello,

I tried to go a software update on my mac because I wanted to move up to 10.5, but when I check for updates a window pops up saying:

"A networking error has occurred: timed out (-1001). Make sure you can connect to the internet, then try again"

And I'm able to type this thread this very moment. LOLWUT?

Im so confused >.< Maybe I put a setting on something that caused this and the WoW Installer error to occur? If I did then I wouldn't remember anyway.

Thanks a lot MR,

/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist

Drag that file to the Desktop.
Now try SoftwareUpdate
Better?
If so, Trash the file, as you now have a new one that is not corrupt.

I did exactly what you said, but it's still coming up with the same error :((
