Hello, all.

I'm trying to update my MBP 17" but it keeps freezing upon installation.

I'm running 10.6.8 and attempting to update the latest Security patch and the latest iTunes, as well as some drivers for my HP and Canon printers.

It successfully logs me out and brings me to the standard "pink and black" nebula image. From there the progress bar freezes once it reaches the 7/8ths of the way. Once it hits that point, it's done. It says "Installing 5 items" and never moves. I left it running overnight but to no avail.

Is this a known issue, and is there a fix? Thanks!

Be patient and let it finish. I've seen it take as long as 30-45 minutes, but if you leave it alone, it should finish.

Did you interrupt it before?

Yes. It had previously ran for about 10-11 hours before I stopped it because I needed to work off of it.

I ran Onyx earlier hoping that'd clear up the issue, but it hasn't. So I'm back in the same situation, 9 hours later.
