"Software Update" popup keeps asking me for password

There is a weird popup that keeps asking me for my password every so often, like twice a week or so. I think it started recently, maybe after updating to Ventura?

Is this legit? Can I do something so it stops happening? I attached a screenshot.

Yes, this is a totally normal prompt. Once the update installs it’ll stop prompting you.

Is there anything I can do to keep it from asking me like three times a week? Or is that just a coincidence?
