I restored my MBP off my TM backup a couple weeks ago, and ever since Software Update has stopped working. Everytime it launches (either on its own or manually by me) I get the error that "Software Update quit unexpectedly." What could have happened to make it do this? Is there a way to reinstall Software Update (or fix it some other way)? Because of this I have to manually download and install all updates...

BTW I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.2.

Thanks

Have you tried re-applying the 10.6.2 update? Also booting onto the DVD and fixing permissions would be a start as well.
