Hi,
I'm trying to run a software update but it quits as soon as I launch. I'm on a MBP running OSX 10.4.11.

Anybody any ideas how I can resolve this?

Thanks

I'd try the "usual" fixes for such things - clean out the application's support files. In Software Update's case, there is 1 file and 2 folders:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
~/Library/Caches/Software Update
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.softwareupdate

Find these 3 and delete them. Try launching Software Update again.
