Hi guys!
I get a macbook pro retina 15.4 inch and i wanna ask if i must update my software or should i ignore because i know from iphone once you update the software phone not working like before updating.

The reason for updating is to get bugs and security issues fixed. Even if you don't care about your own computer, this also acts as a sort of vaccination, where herd immunity may help squash potential attacks on others, not only on your own machine.
That said: Unless you've got ancient hardware, your performance shouldn't drop a lot from common software updates, so there's usually no good reason not to upgrade to the latest OS version unless you disconnect your computer entirely from the Internet.
