Soild State HD Issue

Had to replace my old SSD as it died, with a new Intell 330 one. Upon entering recovery mode, I try to partition with GUID and Mac Journal yet I get a Volume error and the process does not complete. More specifically: partition failed with an error, "wiping volume data"... Any suggestions for help? Model is a 2010 macbook pro.

The 330 has a Sandforce controller which will not work well with Filevault2. Buy a Samsung 830 or a Crucial M4.
