HIGHEST ON THE SCALE
The particle storm, measuring 13 times larger than Earth, was rated a G5, the highest intensity on scientists’ scale of space weather. Space observers have measured G5 storms five times in the past 15 years, but few of them have hit Earth so directly.

I think apple should pick this up as a tag line - maybe even incorporate it into their next media blitz! :D

I've been to Alaska in the winter and seen great auroras - but it would have been cool to see some here in DC - but not with all the light pollution.

I have the same problem here in Boston. Our local meterologist thought seeing the Northern lights was a possiblity if we get rid of the clouds. Those that live in the suburbs might have a chance.

I also hope that our astronauts in the ISS will be safe and sound. My hope would be that they have planned for such occurrences.
