I just sold my 16 GB 3GS, it's unlocked on firmware 3.1.2. What do I do now?! If I restore the phone will it still be at 3.1.2?!?!!? or do I just erase setting and data and delte my apps and just remove sim1?!?!!?!?1

thank you,

really confused beacuse the guy who bought it is using the phone for t-mobile

yes restore the phone but do not update the firmware. then you can also clear the settings from the phone like you stated, take your sim out and send :)

i don't have an iphone yet, but according to what I have read you would:
1. wipe
2. update to most recent jail broken version of firmware
3. jailbreak
4. remove sim

If I am incorrect I will let others correct me on this, But I believe this is correct.

Use your SHSH from saurik's server to restore to OS 3.1.2, using the shift-method and set the iPhone up as new.
