Hello everybody

I’ve recently sold my Apple Watch Series 0. I restored it to factory setting and deleted it from my « Find my iPhone ».

I set up the watch with the new owner and it seems it had paired successfully with his iPhone.

One week later, I had to check something in my iCloud account and my sold watch was actually still linked to it. Although it was specified « no » next to « Find my iPhone » and the watch doesn’t appear in my Watch app, It was still there. I don’t understand how we managed to pair the watch with an iPhone linked to another iCloud account. Is it possible that the watch has been linked to both account ? Did the buyer has had access to my personal content incl. contacts and photos ?

I’ve sold a S0 and bought a S1 recently.

Both had issues after sale, for no obvious reasons.

When unpairing my watch, it failed to unpair and demanded a full reset.

When I bought the S1 the user had removed it via iCloud.com but it was still locked. It took us a few hours of back and forth over messenger to get it sorted.

I just don’t think activation lock works as well on watch as it does on other devices. Something to do with the fact they’re paired to an iPhone rather than being setup independently.

You need to log in under iCloud, select my devices and see what is listed. That would be the definitive way to know if you have the device still in your history.

I have deleted a sold S2 from my ICloud account a few times. It keeps showing back up but the new owner hasn’t said anything and the day she bought it I stayed till it was paired to her phone and working. I quit worrying about it.
