Sold both 3GS's today, now I realize

I realize how much I use my iPhone for everyday uses. I threw the sims into 2 GO phone's so we have cell service. Very basic.
Today my wife said " I expected to hear Elmo's voice when I hit a button".
I am not whining ( so please, Nicole 1980- don't flame me ), but our phones do feel like "Goodfellas" 1989 bag phones trying to do anything on them.

3 days ( and about 10 hours tryin to activate) and all will be good.

srsly. i sold my 2 3gs last week. now my wife and i are realizing how much use the iphone really was.

I am giving my 10 year old the Envy or whatever it is... but man, no contacts, texting is a pain, and when my phone rang today,my wife said"is that your phone"? I had no clue, I was used to hearing "When the musics over" by the Doors...not cloud.mp3 :eek:
 
I promised to ship my 3GS (to a friend who already paid me) on Thursday, but I don't have anything pre-ordered. I wanted to hold out for white, but I know I can't go without my iPhone so I guess I'll be in line at Apple with my fingers crossed. Hopefully some white models will be available on launch or at least enough black models so I can get something! :/

may i be rude and ask how much you sold them for? and what size (16 or 32) and did you sell them both to one person so you gave them a break? or each separately???

Do you want one of my pre orders? My wife pre ordered at Best Buy
( #4 ) for me for father's day, but I had already ordered 2 from ATT. One for me and one for her...crazy that my wife of 17 years, that know's how OCD I am about  stuff, would not think that I would have it covered.
Seriously, you can have it... unsubsidized tho', since I will be activating both phones I get from ATT.

Not rude.

Same guy I sold mine to last year. HE is an Asian dude that must sell them over sea's. He responded to my CraigsList ad in 4 minutes.

Sold a 32 that was naked for a year and trashed on the backside for $300
Sold a 16 that I upgraded for my wife last month in pristine condition for $320. To be honest, I was just looking to sell for the total amount of 2 iPhone 4's at launch ( I am adding a line for extra sub, and giving GO phone line to my son )
Only gave him 1 charger and 2 sync cables ( i can always use extra wall charger)

Funny story tho'
He owns a nail salon business inside a Meijer ( Big box grocer in Michigan), he gave me the $$$, and I took it to the service counter and asked to use their counterfeit pen to make sure the dough was legit. He looked at me like I had 3 heads.

bought the Go phone, inserted my sim, and I received a text saying that 150 min had been added to my Rollover....how silly. The ATT rep told me they would apply the $50 credit to my account. Oh well........anything to get my iPhone back and let my 10 year old "enjoy" his first phone

Watch your AT&T bill. After I got my pre-paid phone, they took my Unlimited Messaging and Data plan away, and my bill shot up $400. Be careful. ;)
 
I sold my 3GS about two months ago in anticipation of the 4th iPhone's launch and have been using my sister's old piece of **** blackberry. I seriously can NOT wait to get my hands on the new iphone.

I had the first iPhone, iPhone 3g, and iPhone 3Gs and I can't stand this pink phone... with pink swirls :(
