Like title says I sold my iphone on ebay. I did a wipe and when I booted the phone on it had the activation screen on.

Figured it couldn't hurt to pop my sim in there to activate and then ship it out just in case the person who purchased the phone doesn't want to do it through itunes or what have you.

Nothing can be negatively affected by this right?

Thanks

Why; are you sleeping with this other person? (just kidding) Ship it out, who cares what the new owner thinks. What's he/she gonna' do, report you to the BBB.....:p:p:p

When I sold my 1st gen iPhone I didn't activate it. I don't have any experience in Jailbreaking the iPhone but I would guess that they would rather you NOT activate it.

Again, I would probably not be the one to ask. Any jailbreakers out there?

Ha ha. Just thought maybe they just wanted to pop their SIM in without activating/contract/etc.

Can anything negatively happen to me, since I activated with my SIM?
