Good grief. I just realized I left my SIM card in the phone I sold locally. I wiped the phone... I activated my new 5 on my line.

Suggestions?

You should be OK as your phone number is now associated with your new SIM, and your old one is deactivated. If you want to be sure, give AT&T a call, but I think you don't have much to worry about.

Obvious but did you try contacting the person you sold it to yet?

I'd contact AT&T as well though. With iMessage you want to make sure it doesn't get activated with your SIM in hit.

When you activated the new SIM with the old phone number, it deactivates the old SIM. You are fine

Call ATT and tell them to de-activate the SIM.

Go to this Apple site to sever the connection between your Apple ID and the old 4S just to be safe...

The second is more of a precaution, but I do it for every phone I sell now just to be safe, especially with iMessage bugs/facetime glitches.

Thanks, everyone for your helpful suggestions!

I contacted AT&T and they informed me that once I activated the new SIM with my number, the old one is deactivated. Hope they actually do know what they're talking about on this one...

I am on the phone with Apple to get a refund for my AppleCare + and once this is completed, I will sever the tie from the 4S to Apple profile.

Thanks again. I knew I could count on you guys here for solid answers. :D

lol I did email the guy and he said he could possibly meet me this weekend. Soo, thought I'd be proactive and see what I could do on my end in the meantime.
