Recently got a macbook air, sold my ipad today to help fund it and get the most I could before iPad 2 is announced. Will definitely buy iPad 2 on release, absolutely adored my iPad, (GF loved it too) but alas, all good things come to an end.

If your looking to sell yours I would do it somewhat soon as value is still high, I got 475$ for mine, not bad it cost me 540 after tax in may :)

Enjoy your iPads as much as I did. Don't know what you got till it's gone!!

Where did you sell yours at? Sounds like you sold 16GB wifi iPad?
sounds like it to me, but i read his signature lol
:apple:iPhone 4 16GB :apple:iPad 16GB WiFi :apple:MacBook Air.....

@OP, if you loved it so much why did you sell it? it's still be worth at least $400 in a few months, you could of had a few months of still having your ipad for 75 bucks, seems like a fair deal to me.

Price is not bad, well i was about to buy this December until I heard the news about the gen 2 I guess I have to see what gen 2 has to offer.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPad; U; CPU OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

I'm not selling my iPad till I'm ready to buy the iPad 2. There's still a few months left to enjoy the one that I have. :)

Anyone is free to speculate, but I don't see why people is so scare of the price of the iPad pluming, the iPAd 2 will not be such a mayor upgrade, so the price for the original will hold pretty good, getting a new one after reselling the old one would be a $100 to maybe $150 difference, which to me for a year (or almost a year) of usage is completely worth it

NEVER, I cannot be without mine, I am SO friggin addicted!
After updating i Tunes, my Mac book said it couldn't start a session with my iPad, so I rebooted it, then all I got was a spinning wheel AHHHHHHGGGGG! NOOOOOOO!
I went online and booked an appointment at the genius bar in 2 hours, drove 1.5 hours to Tampa at 5:30 at night, and took my baby with me!
The Genius disappeared behind the wall with my iPad, emerged 25 minutes later with it up and running, and after running some diagnostics pronounced it fit as a fiddle, I drove home.
Once I got her home I treated her to the WORLD of GOO, and snuggled with her on the Couch.
Have I told you I LOVE my iPad?

I just bought a 3G that should be at my house tomorrow.

I plan to hold onto it for several months as my experience with the iPhone 4 was much less than stellar the first few months.

It's almost like buying a new car now, don't buy the first year model, or in this case, wait until the software updates have fixed all the problems. Or this is like the old saying for buying a new PC, "wait until the first service Pack is out".

I'll wait a while before selling my new iPad 3G.

Why buy now the next is so close .

I'm keeping my original. I'll give it to my wife when the Gen 2 comes out. It seems short sighted to try and sell something that I currently use as much as the iPad. The $50-$100 extra you'll get buy selling it now does not seem worth the months w/o it.

Hey Cheffy,

I love reading your posts man. Glad you are loving the iPad. Me too.

It is sweet. The 70-200mm is also quite nice. With that big ass sensor in the D3s, I can almost shoot in darkness. I love the fact that I can forget my flash most of the time.

Yes I love my 70-200

I was only able to swing a D300

Sorry OP for off topic talk!

I'm sure the MBA is a nice little machine! My MBP feels abandoned since I use my iPad for mostly everything haha

Yup. I also have the 28-300mm that I take when I am in a hurry.

Anyway, back on topic. I like the way the MBA fits that niche between my iPad and MBP. I occasionally have to pry the MBA away from my daughter's hands. :)

Yeah I loved it but i found myself wanting more function and what really pushed me to it was the screen resolution. It just was not holding up to the new MBA and iPhone 4. All I'm hoping for in iPad2 is a resolution bump.

I'll miss it but in a few months ipad2 will be here (p.s. it's not speculation, it WILL come out, thats guaranteed).
