I've been using a MacBook Pro for quite some time. I prefer the size of the MacBook, but I don't like the two color options. In light of the new case materials/design that should be launching tomorrow, I decided to sell my MacBook Pro a few days before the flood of sellers after the new product launch.

Anyway, I have seen some speculation, but is it safe to assume that I should be able to end up with a similar system to the one I sold (2.4 GHz, 4 GB RAM (Upgraded), 200 GB HD) for $1100-1300 (based on the student discount)? My instincts say that I should be fine, but I'd imagine that this forum has much more knowledge than I do in this area.

Thanks,
LBW

With 4GB of RAM and dedicated graphics? I highly doubt it.

I should have mentioned that I don't really *need* much of what the MBP offers. I am not a gamer, and with the exception of some PhotoShop work, the dedicated graphics' capabilities go unused.

Shouldn't a RAM upgrade be ~$100 through a 3rd party?

Less, about $60.
