sold my my iPhone and need advice

I just sold my iPhone and was wondering what people who did the same did before shipping it.
I am not too familiar with the all SIM cards.
I want to be able to send my phone unlocked and jailbreak.
It is currently jalbroken, and i plan on unlocking before shipping.
