Sold Out: LG UltraFine 4K Display

The Apple On-line store (and most Apple retail stores near me 6 of 8 within 30 miles) are sold out of the LG 21 inch 4K display.

Is this common, or does this indicate Apple is coming out with a new model 4K? Thoughts?

It's been like that for months. The 5K display availability is even worse as no stores show availability.

If you actually go to a store they say they have them. Last week I was at a store and asked. Without them actually checking in the back they said their app showed as less than 5 in stock for each. No further info.
