Well, I think the story said they'd ship in 2Q07, but I don't see them offered on Dell or HP's site.

Just to confirm, though, theorectically there should be no problem swapping on of these flash HD's into a MB?
 
The should be no problem at all. The SSD drives use the same S-ATA connection that the MacBook(Pro) use. The SSD drives use about one third the power, but this shouldn't be a problem because the HDD drives use variable power so that they can go into a low power mode when idling, and so the power-supply can support the lower power of an SSD without shorting it out.
 
these drives are only a good replacement IMHO when they hit the 128GB and when they cost less than $300.

How much faster will they perform in a MB compared to the 5400 rpm HD's?
