Hey guys.

I have just ordered the AW SE as my first ever AW. I went for the new solo loop but now i'm worried that allergic reaction to it could be a real problem. The previous bands didn't use silicone as far as i can see, does anyone have any experiences/advice on it. I can still cancel and change my order at this point.

Thanks!

i'm sure its the highest grade of silicone around but if you are allergic to silicone you are allergic to silicone... i'm sure its not some of the cheap stuff from knock off bands...

I find that it traps dirt and sweat so if you don't clean it regularly (daily?) it can cause problems. I switched to a nylon loop and love it. HATE the silicone.

just to clarify what the OG poster was saying... Apple Sports Bands are NOT silicone. They are fluoroelastomer which is NOT silicone. Apple says they are using silicone in an apple watch band for the first time with the Solo Loop so if someone is allergic to silicone that could in theory be an issue.

Thanks for the replies guys. Cancelled it and changed it to the nylon band!
