Is probably because our skin sweats a bit, that is the main reason why I got the braided loop. No problems and the skin breaths very well. I had sizing issues and the only way I was able to get the correct size was by trying multiple sizes. The goal is to have the bracelet tight enough for the watch not to move when you shake it, but not to leave slight marks on your wrist, from being too snug. I wear the watch 24/7, except for a 30min charge during the day.

I woke up to this a few days ago. Decided to switch my Apple Watch to my right wrist, and I started to see the same. Will be exchanging my solo loop band for a sport loop.

Well it does suck, but our bodies all react differently. I mean, as much as I wanted my AirPods Pro to work, my left ear was not compatible no matter what I did. My loop doesn't do that to me, but I've had reactions to different types of fabric and detergent. Sorry it doesn't work out for you all.

I had the same thing with my solo loop I got with my S6. Contacted Apple and was eventually told they would send me a braided loop to replace it. It happened on more than one occasion but ever since I started washing it with soap and water after any sort of activity where I sweat, I've not seen anything.

Contact Dermatitis...seems like quite a few people are sensitive to something in this year's batch of bands. I've seen it reported with both the solo loop and sport band, even though they are made of different stuff.

I contacted Apple about the problems I had with the irritated skin. I am only offered a replacement. What did you do to get the free braided loop

I’ve had several Apple Watch bands over the years including sports watch band. Never got a rash. I just got new Sports Loop band and developed a rash within days. I believe the silicon material is defective. I will contact Apple.

yeah im not reacting well to my solo loop either. i think im past my return window but started getting a rash this week. i think its partially because of the dry of winter, partially because its an exact and snug fit, and partially the thing just has no breath-ability. its a bummer because i like it generally. if they still allow a return ill see if i can put it towards a braided loop

I think it’s a skin issue rather than a watch band issue. I’ve been wearing an AW sport band for over two years with no issues till about a month ago. All the sudden my skin under the band and even under the watch started to become very irritated. I had to switch to my right wrist for about ten days and even that wrist felt like it was getting irritated. After the ten days I switched back to my left wrist and no issues since.

I've been fortunate with both the braided and solo loop work without a reaction. Has to be an allergy to something in the bands. That or they are not breathing properly so the skin becomes irritated.

I have experienced the same rash from the Solo Loop. Thank you, OP, for posting. I will contact Apple for a replacement.

I have been wearing smart watches for a long time. Anything from low cost watches from China in the early days, to the newest Apple series 6 and everything in between. This is the first time that I have seen any signs of a rash. I think that they need to pull the Solo Loop until they learn the cause of this issue.

Hi All: After many calls with many Apple support people, I finally got to a supervisor and she approved replacement of the Solo Loop Apple Watch Band with the Sport Loop (nylon weave). I've had no problems with Sport Loop and can also wear it in the pool when I swim laps as it drys out quickly. I also filed a complaint with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission. Everyone that got a rash should file a complaint as this product has some bad stuff in it.
