Hi everyone,

I love the feel of the (non-braided) solo loop and have been enjoying a size 9 with my 44mm stainless steel Series 6 for the better part of a year. It was nice and snug at first (I tried a size 8 at first and it was uncomfortably tight), but unfortunately over the months the solo loop has now stretched to the point that my watch locks every few minutes because it doesn't have good enough contact with my wrist. My guess is the extra weight of the 44mm stainless steel case and and a lot of physical activity caused the band to stretch beyond expected parameters. I'm now back to using the sport loop from the Series 4 watch I bought a few years back.

I know this topic has been discussed quite a bit, but I'm looking for any success stories of folks who have either
1) gotten Apple to replace a solo band that has stretched beyond usability (I do have Apple Care+)
2) found any way at home to shrink a stretched solo band back to size

Thanks!

That's so weird. I have worn my Solo Loops a TON - with both Stainless Steel and Ceramic watches, both of which are slightly heavier than aluminum - and none of them have even begun to stretch at all. Not saying you didn't have this experience, but I don't think it's the norm. I'd take it to an Apple store and have them compare it to a new one of the same size. They may replace it.

I was worried this might happen after stretching it daily to remove and put my watch on. I’ve had my SBTi with black solo loop (Sz 9 as well) since launch and while it may have stretched slightly, meaning it feels easier to get it around my wrist, I have not experienced it being so loose that my watch locks. I also worried that the constant stretching might damage the band locking mechanism at some point.
