So I'm heading into the second week for the return policy on both my Solo3 Wireless and Sennheiser Momentum 2 On Ear Wireless
I'm pretty close to picking the Solo3s because the sound seems to be an tiny bit better. The Momentum has a bit bigger bass, but at the cost being a bit more muffled/muddied. It probably has to do with the (supposed) lack of AAC codec support. The Active Noise Cancelation (ANC) is nice, but produces a little noticeable hiss sound.
Yes I'm aware that any wireless headphone will suffer in quality, but I'm ready to cut the cord.
40 hours and accurate battery life via the panel on my iPhone is very nice to have that also tips it in the favor of Solo3. As for aesthetics, that goes in favor of the Momentums.
So then that got me thinking. $300/$250 pair of headphones are quite expensive. The Solo2 Wireless apparently have the same quality (as the 3) and cost $180 right now. Half the battery life, but 20 hours seems plenty (considering I charge my watch every night).
The W1 Easy Pairing is nice, but it's not hard to go to settings and connect to a Bluetooth device.
You know what's something I haven't really tried? I made calls with both the M2 and Solo3 and was able to hear everyone well, but I didn't ask them how my voice quality was. I'll run a test tomorrow with my brother. If one has much better outgoing quality, then that might be the ultimate tipping point
