Long story short... I had an incredibly long how-to typed up until I accidentally hit the back button on my mouse and destroyed it all. So, this writeup will be a bit more succinct. ;)

Plagued with stuttering sound on your new Windows 7 installation? It's caused by various driver conflicts - notably, your sound driver conflicting with your wireless networking and graphics drivers.

The solution is simply to install newer drivers - but finding the magic combination was a real pain. I'm happy to report, though, that I've finally done it on my UMBP!

Here are the drivers you need:

1. Sound:

Notes: None. This part is easy.

2. Wireless Networking:

Notes: Choose: Broadcom 943xx v5.10.91.4 driver. Uninstall old drivers first from the Device Manager -> Network Adapters -> Broadcom Device -> Drivers tab. After running setup.exe, the driver version should be 5.10.91.4. If it's not, you need to manually install the drivers by using the Have Disk... method and locating the .inf file in the folder where setup.exe was found. I chose Broadcom 4322AG from the list that popped up thereafter - check the firmware of your airport card in OS X if you're not sure.

3. Graphics:

32-bit:

64-bit:

Notes: Make sure to uninstall the old driver first, from the Add/Remove Programs. Remember, only uninstall the display drivers, not all nVidia software!
