I did a quick search on on this and didn't find it, sorry if it has.
But, if you drop your iPhone in water, this might be for you!
A friend of mine the other day was shaving and had his iPhone 3G in his shirt pocket, and guess what? It fell out, so he goes it puts it in a bag of rice. (Reason being rice is very absorbent.) He left it in there a few days, took it out, and it worked! it's safer then taking it apart. Thought it would share this =D

This has been posted, posted again, posted some more, people have been urinating this post for quite a while. I just searched rice and got a crap load of threads. You really didn't search.
