Hi:

I just bought a MACBOOK from an other person. It works fine but I do not know the password of this person and I've no way to find him anymore.

Now I cannot install or uninstall anything in my MACBOOK so I want to reformat the Hd and reinstall all. How can I do it please?

It's very frustrating for me.

Please advice.

Pierre

Did you happen to get the install discs from this person. If you did you just install the CD and reboot holding the "C" key and it will boot form the CD. It should be the Disk Utility.

solve administrator password problem

hello, Unfortunatly not. I didn't because this guys came from USA to Spain where I live and he went back to USA. So I bought an original MAC OS X DVD (mac os x 10.4.6). I can get access to "install disc" when I insert the DVD, but it told me "this version cannot be installed in this computer". It's really strange and frustrating.

Please help!

Pierre
