Hello Fellow Mac Lovers (I hope!)
So tonight I went onto YouTube for some music while I cooked myself a fine meal. When I came to change the song my touchpad on my MBPro 2008 was all of the sudden overly sensitive and felt totally out of the norm.
Went and Googled the symptoms and they pointed towards a 'growing'/buldging battery which was a common fault on earlier Macbook Pro's.
I switched of the computer, popped the backlit (much easier than on the newer MB's) and took out the battery and LO AND BEHOLD the battery, I kid you not, was two times thicker than normal and very hot!
So if you touchpad is acting weird and you one of the MB models from around 2008 - turn of the power, quickly, and pop out the battery!
It might save a kittens live plus your MacBook
Hope this can help some of you and have a great day!
