OK, I've MRoogled my heart out and each "solution" is left open ended (gee thanks) so I want to ask for help in my specific case.

I have 3 computers on my network, a MacBook, a MacBook Pro and my Power Mac G4.

When I connect to either the Power Mac G4 or MacBook it auto-connects as a guest with limited access. However I CANNOT connect to the MacBook Pro as a guest no matter what I do. I have to be a Registered User to access ANY files on my MacBook Pro.

The MacBook and MacBook Pro both run 10.6 and the Power Mac is running 10.4.

Thanks.

Both the portables are running 10.6, the Power Mac is running 10.4.

Here is the sharing pref on my MacBook Pro, the one I'm having trouble connecting to as guest.

As well!

Is there a way to fix this icon to a Power Mac G4? It's in my system files so...why not?

Solved!

Go to System Preferences>Accounts and click on the User "Guest Account". Make sure that "Allow guests to connect to shared folders" is checked.

Bingo!

Thank you!

Solved my Problem as well :D

It's silly how there's no mention of this in the sharing preferences pane.
