I have a OS 9.2.2 installation on PowerBook G4 TI, and it works perfect. Today I 've cloned it into a new 40GB WD Scorpio HDD on the same computer using Disk Utility on Leopard 10.5.8 using "install OS 9 drivers" and I did the blessing (removing and pasting the System Folder) but this newly cloned HDD can't boot. A symbol with exclamation mark appears and during this time the HDD can be heard continuously starting and stopping, as if it's trying to read some files but it can't.

I've searched and googled the Internet high and low and couldn't solve this problem. Maybe I'm missing something very basic and obvious, I don't know. Any help is appreciated.

Can you try blessing the System Folder using the bless command in Leopard?

Code:
 sudo bless --folder9 "/Volumes/Mac OS 9/System Folder" --bootBlockFile "/usr/share/misc/bootblockdata"

I've applied it and solved the problem in a heartbeat!

Actually I had already seen and applied that command line but the one I saw didn't contain those options
Code:
--bootBlockFile "/usr/share/misc/bootblockdata"

Now it boots perfectly. Thanks!
