iPhone 12 mini SOLVED Iphone 12 Mini Screen brightness suddenly dropped

Today all of a sudden the screen brightness dropped by maybe 50%. I've tried turning off the automatic brightness adjuster and turned the brightness up to 100% and still screen is still not bright. Compared to my brothers iPhone X, the max brightness is maybe 60% of what his screen is capable of. If I turn on the automatic brightness adjuster the screen is almost black.
Any idea what this could be?
 
SOLVED: Figured it out, I had accidentally turned on the zoom function. After turning it off the screen was back to normal :)
